Quarrel V/s Fight

More often than not we keep on messing with ourselves, in our personal opinions, thoughts, decisions an a lot many things which creates a conflict in us leading us mentally unstable. Now the question is the conflict which is created inside has 2 faces, a Quarrel and a Fight. Oh, heck, big deal, what's the difference? Thats what is the next question, right? Lets figure out whats a Quarrel & a Fight!

In my previous workplace, I had 2 colleagues, who were also my close friends. Rakshit and Upen. Rakshit was a guy who completed his targets on time, was the best performer in the team, also the right hand of the boss. The best Sales guy, Boss had ever known. But still he had a conflict with boss every month end over the sales targets. His question was quite simple, "I did my targets, I overshot my limits, but still why is the Boss expecting more and more from me. This is the point he was exhausted and he fought with no results. Eventually he ended up doing things miserably on the discreet of his Boss, but he fought.

On the other hand, Upen never overshot his targets, ya he achieved it on the edge. He was not the favorite of boss, but he was always on a call away to help his boss. He had solutions which helped the team overcome the problems, sometimes escape the wittiest and the poignant situations. He also fought with his boss at the month end. He never allowed boss to expect more than his extra limits, still his boss knew he would manage the targets of the team. He also fought and kept his boss at bay, not allowing him to over-exploit him. His team targets were completed on the simple basis. He was close to a few of us. He initiated and created a competition amongst us skillfully, in such a way that whenever his targets were pending, he would percolate in such a way which would make us feel bigger than him. At the end of the day he still fought, but for all of us.

Now analyse the 2 cases. Rakshit is in constant conflict with the boss without an output which he wants and probably deserves too. He is quarreling, a conflict leading to nowhere. Needless to say, Upen achieves whatever he want cos of 2 reasons, he think for a wider goal and he fights for it to achieve it. He knows where and how to say NO and to give a solution for his NO. His conflict is Fight.

Similar conflicts happen within us. The Boss of our system, The Brain; we try to justify things to it leading us to nowhere. We Quarrel. We Quarrel because we are selfish. We Quarrel, cos we can't think beyond the self benefiting goals. We Quarrel cos we can't let GO.

So lets learn to FIGHT, our circumstances, our beliefs, and most importantly Let Go things when necessary..
